Hello Parents,
I am so glad that you stopped by for a visit to our website. I have been at Sorters Mill since its doors first opened, and am grateful to be able to celebrate another year at this AMAZING school! Moving from being a teacher when I first started to serving as a RTI Specialist, and then an administrator has given me the opportunity to see, hear, and be a part of each classroom and celebrate the successes of all of our students. My own children entered Sorters Mill when they were in kindergarten and were involved in the dual language program. My son is now in high school and my daughter is starting her freshman year of college, both of them fluent in Spanish. It's been a blessing to watch them grow and thrive because of the strong foundation that was set for them in elementary school.
I look forward to continuing to be a part of the school-wide success that makes SME the best place to be. As you walk our hallways this year, you will see colleges represented throughout the campus. Our school earned the distinction of becoming a No Excuses University School in 2018. SME has the firm belief that every child deserves the opportunity to be educated in ways that prepare them for college. Our top-notch teachers and staff at Sorters Mill are dedicated to this endeavor and have created a campus culture that focuses on universal achievement and the pursuit of excellence for each child. I am honored to be a part of our incredible community and to serve our students.

Welcome to Sorters Mill Elementary!
What an honor it is to serve as the Assistant Principal in my hometown. I am a 1991 graduate of New Caney High School. I graduated with my Bachelor of Science degree from Texas A&M -Kingsville in 1995 and Lamar University with my M.Ed. in Administration in 2017.
My passion for serving others led me to administration in New Caney ISD. I am excited to share in the journey with the Tigers at SME. The staff and students are some of the best I have ever worked with. I am beyond thankful and blessed to have the opportunity to spend each and every day working with our prideful students, outstanding educators and supportive parents.

Hello!
I was born and raised in Houston, TX. I used to live in Houston's downtown area, but I recently moved to Shepherd, Tx. I have three younger brothers and one dog that I love very much. On my days off, I love to read, watch movies, spend time with my family, and travel.
I attended the University of Houston-Downtown and obtained a bachelor's degree in Bilingual Education EC-6. I then attended ST. Thomas University and obtained a Master's in Educational Diagnostician and my Principal Certification from Lamar University.
I am super excited to be an assistant principal at Sorters Mill Elementary for another year. I am beyond blessed with the opportunity to be here and work with wonderful teachers, staff, and amazing students.
